We have joined up with an informal group of fellow poultry lovers to place orders from Blue Stem Organics – direct from the growers. Our hens really seem to love the feed, and we feel good about giving it to them. You can visit the company’s web site to find more information about their products: http://www.bluestemorganic.com/POULTRY.html. In addition to chicken feed, they also have feed for turkeys, ducks, dairy, swine, sheep, and goats.
If you would like to be added to the co-op email list and place an order or ask questions, please email email me and I will connect you to Beth. We would love to have more people join with us. It sounds like the next order will be placed in August, so please get in touch with us about how to order, costs, etc. as soon as possible.
Thanks!

We are now taking orders for the August shipment. If you want to join in, go to https://slcchicken.wufoo.com/forms/august-order-form/ to place your order by August 1st. The next order will be in about 3 months.
We are going to leave ordering open until tomorrow night (Aug 3). We are still a bit short of the number of bags we need to order to get the pricing on the form.
I would like to join in the next order. Looks like I just missed August’s order. How can I do that?
I will send you Beth’s contact information. Thanks!
Hi, I hope this organic chicken feed co-op is still active. I’d like to get more information.
Thanks,
Kevin
Hi Kevin. IFA started carrying organic chicken feed in the local stores (at least the Salt Lake store on 2100 South), so we disbanded the co-op. It was too labor intensive for the generous women who were kind enough to coordinate it for a few months. And the feed should be fresher, since we don’t have to buy large quantities at one time. We used to have buy several bags with each order per person in order to qualify for discounted shipping. The chickens really seem to love the new organic feed, so we are really happy with it.
